Why control bees?

Bees can pose a considerable risk to your business during the spring and summer months. Beehives can accommodate up to 20,000 bees, making them quite problematic to deal with safely.

  • Whilst bees are a traditionally passive insect and only use their stinger as a last resort, they can be very territorial in nature. This can cause big problems when bees decide to nest in your building.
  • Bees can build nests in trees close to homes or, in some cases, within wall cavities and ceilings in buildings like schools and offices.
  • In the warmer months, bee populations can multiply dramatically. New colonies will seek additional nesting grounds.
  • Flowering plants used to prettify car parks, and the entrances to commercial buildings naturally attract bees that may at times swarm, or establish a hive on the property
  • Carpenter bees bore holes into wood to build nests. If you have an infestation of carpenter bees, you may notice these holes on wooden structures on your building.

How to prevent bees

Bees (especially native Australian bees) are vital to our ecosystem. Bees flying around your flowers is perfectly natural and should be left alone if possible. Although there is not much to do to prevent bees swarming to your location besides keeping your yard clear or debris and possibly planting bee repellent flowers, like mint. Our team will remove all traces of the hive and any honeycomb to prevent any bees from returning.

Usually, bees are passive unless aggravated. Never try to prod or go near a hive on your own. We understand having a fully developed hive around your business or home can be a safety hazard. We can safely remove the hive and relocate them for you.
